Shown are the Sörnzig tax records from: "Pflichte und Erbzinsen der Leute im Amt Wechselburg aus alten Einzahligen Registern in der Eyll zusammengetragen ao 1580" - "Obligations and Inheritance Taxes of the Inhabitants of the Wechselburg District Compiled in a Hurry from old Registers in 1580".

The records contain all Sörnzig farmers liable for tax with their encumbrances and their taxes payable on the tax dates for the year 1580.
There are 12 persons liable for taxes recorded in 12 regesta.

A note in the Text says: "Das dorff Sornitzke Inn Gedingstull Mutzschenroda Gehörigk" ‎(Sörnzig belongs to the lower court district Mutzschenroda)‎.

The names of the tax payers are listed. Some Names of tax payers have been crossed out, they are not shown in the transcription.
However it is difficult to allocate the liabilities due to the entries; many of the entries were crossed out and additions were done. We advise to check out the original in the archive. An overview is presented in the pdf document.
