The original of the digitised source is not accessible. It was digitised from microfilms in the Saxon State Archive (Sächsisches Hauptstaatsarchiv Dresden, signature 12613, book no. 121, Gerichtsbücher Penig, film no.
8819). The films can also be viewed there. Requests for copies can also be made in writing to the archive, with citation of the required page number(s). Further, these microfilms are accessible in the archives Staatsarchiv Chemnitz and Staatsarchiv Leipzig as well as in LDS Family history centres (Mormons).
The extracts of court records comprise 77 entries. The court record book contains a total of 539 pages. They mainly contain financial transactions, debt lists and relinquishments associated with purchases of land from Penig, Altpenig, Taura, Tauscha, Göppersdorf a.o..
