The original of the edited source is privately owned by Stefan Seifert. The War diary covers the period from 08/22/1914 to 11/15/1914. Alwin Seifert was serving in the 3rd Comp. Substitute Battalion of the Territorial Reserve Infantry Regiment # 100 and at that time stationed in Posen ‎(Silesia)‎.
This Company was engaged until 09/17/1914 in the 6th Infantry barracks in Posen, afterwards it was transferred into the new Pioneer barracks in Wilda.
