Presented is the index of an official court record book of the department Wechselburg regarding Rochlitz and belonging locations for the period of 1599 - 1607.
The original source is not open to the public. Editing has been done on basis of microfilms (Saxon Public Records Office Dresden - SHStA Dresden), signature 12613, court record books (Gerichtsbücher) Wechselburg, Rochlitz, book no. 388). Access to films could be granted there if necessary. Written requests, stating the page number, may be sent to the office, too. The microfilms can also be accessed at the Saxon Public Records Offices Leipzig and Chemnitz as well as in research centres of the Mormons.
The abstracts of the court book register cover 395 entries. The court book contains a total of 712 pages. These are basically dealing with site acquisitions and sales as well as concerning disclaimers from Königshain, Wiederau, Diethensdorf, Claußnitz and additional locations.
The register covers 320 persons.
The author points out:
Page numbers on the copies are not match with the index - if called 'Datum' the source (page) references to the statement on the contract copy (and not the index information of the court record!).
